The reader comes with software that can be downloaded from the Identiv website and works with CAC cards easily, though some users may need to deactivate certain settings on their browser to do so. The design of the reader may vary, so some customers may not see the red Identiv logo as advertised. The reader also scratched up one customer's old card's chip badly enough that they had to replace it, indicating a durability issue. Customer support is also poor, with one reviewer experiencing no response after five days.
