The ODROID HC2 home cloud device is perfect for lightweight usage, runs optimally with OpenMediaVault and armbian. However, this device requires a SD card to boot, and getting it to work requires some effort. Its affordability and heat efficient design make it a desirable design for Consumers. However, it may be too powerful for just a NAS usage and is not equipped with HDMI/DP or WiFi, which limits its usage. Overall, it is a great home lab server that works well with distributed file systems like GlusterFS and MooseFS.
