What is included in the Splat Lightening Bleach Kit?

The Splat Lightening Bleach Kit includes everything you need for one application: lightening bleach powder, oxide, a complete shampoo, and a deep reconstructor conditioner. The bleach powder and oxide work together to lighten your hair effectively, while the included shampoo helps cleanse the hair post-application and the deep reconstructor conditioner is designed to nourish and hydrate your hair, preventing damage and promoting shine.

How can I achieve the best results using the Splat Lightening Bleach Kit?

To achieve the best results, start by performing a strand test to assess how your hair reacts to the bleach. Follow the instructions thoroughly, mixing the bleach powder and oxide according to the guidelines. Ensure your hair is clean and dry before applying. After lightening, use the complete shampoo provided to wash your hair, followed by the deep reconstructor conditioner which helps in maintaining hair health and vibrancy post-bleaching. Regular trims and using a heat protectant can help maintain the results.

Is the Splat Lightening Bleach Kit suitable for all hair types?

The Splat Lightening Bleach Kit is suitable for various hair types, including straight, wavy, and curly hair. However, those with very dark or previously processed hair may experience different results. It's recommended to consult with a hair care professional if you have heavily damaged hair. Furthermore, conducting a patch test before applying the product to your entire head can ensure you achieve the desired lightness without unexpected reactions.

Can I use the Splat Lightening Bleach Kit on colored or previously bleached hair?

You can use the Splat Lightening Bleach Kit on previously colored or bleached hair, but results can vary greatly. It’s important to assess the current condition and color of your hair first. If your hair has been significantly processed, a strand test is crucial. This product may help lighten your hair further, but mixed results can occur, and consulting a professional stylist may be beneficial.

How often can I use the Splat Lightening Bleach Kit?

It's advisable to wait at least 6-8 weeks between applications of the Splat Lightening Bleach Kit. Frequent bleaching can lead to damage and compromise your hair's health. During this time, use deep conditioning treatments to restore moisture and strength to your hair. If you're looking for continued color maintenance, consider using semi-permanent hair colors or toners that do not require bleach to achieve your desired look in between applications.

Will the Splat Lightening Bleach Kit damage my hair?

While the Splat Lightening Bleach Kit is designed to minimize damage with its conditioning components, bleaching inherently involves some risk of hair damage. The key to reducing harm is to follow the instructions carefully, avoid overlapping bleach applications, and use the included deep reconstructor conditioner post-application. Make sure to keep your hair healthy with regular trims and intensive conditioning treatments to mitigate any damage.

Can I add other hair products while using the Splat Lightening Bleach Kit?

It's best to avoid using other hair products, especially heat styling tools, while using the Splat Lightening Bleach Kit. Using the product as directed will help ensure even application and optimal results. After the bleaching process, once your hair has adjusted, you may incorporate other hair treatments and products, but start slow and limit heat exposure to maintain hair integrity.

How long do I need to leave the bleach on my hair?

The recommended time for leaving the bleach on varies based on your hair type, color, and desired lightness. Generally, it’s suggested to leave it on for 20-40 minutes, checking the lightening progress every 10 minutes. Once your desired shade is achieved, immediately rinse thoroughly with water and follow up with the complete shampoo and deep reconstructor conditioner included in the kit. This ensures you stop the bleaching process at the right time.

What aftercare is recommended after using the Splat Lightening Bleach Kit?

After using the Splat Lightening Bleach Kit, it’s crucial to pamper your hair. Use the supplied deep reconstructor conditioner to replenish moisture and nourishment. Additionally, avoid heat styling for a few days and use sulfate-free, color-safe shampoos. Incorporating a weekly deep conditioning treatment can also help maintain your hair's health, softness, and vibrancy. This aftercare will ensure your newly lightened hair stays vibrant and healthy.
