The rubber trim plate keeps weather from entering the back of the lock and the interior components are stainless steel and teflon coated. Customers have reported that installation can be a bit tricky, but it works and looks good once installed, though some have reported difficulty finding the right screws to use. Other reviewers indicate the lock is easy to install and works perfectly for their needs.
