The Sunrace Thumb Shift Lever-Left, Friction is a replacement for old Shimano friction shifters. It is easy to install, and changing the resistance requires adjusting the screw on the top. However, instructions are not provided. The sticker on the top does not suggest "quality." The product seems to be of decent quality, but it is mostly for functional purposes. This old-school thumb shifter is perfect for those interested in function over aesthetics. The ratcheting movement is stiff, and loosening the securing screw did not help. One customer used it as a manual throttle control on a truck.
