The Tristar Cornet Case MP Mute is a good quality instrument with clear and in-tune sound. The mute that comes with the cornet, however, is not of great quality and is recommended to be replaced. The valves and threads are delicate and require regular cleaning with brass instrument oil and lint-free cloth to prevent oxidation buildup and damage to the key and cylinder. The threaded screw-on cap also needs to be carefully handled to prevent cross-threading or damage. The cornet has a medium bore and comes with a 7c mouthpiece that may cause a slight air leak issue due to poor fit. The shipping cost to Nigeria is $60 extra.
