The Bernette B48 Coverstich machine is a versatile machine with 23 different stitches, making it ideal for experienced sewers rather than beginners who may have difficulty in threading and setting up the machine. Additional presser feet are available, including a ribbon couching foot, elasticator foot, blindstitch foot, piping foot, beading/sequin foot, and a gathering foot. There is no automatic threading available, but there is a threader that isn't connected to the machine. The machine is useful for making bathing suits as it has a differential feed for stretchy material and overcasting stitches that make strong edges and seams. It is quieter than the Brother 2430 CV with a sleek design that fits well in a limited space.
