The Cannonball Run is a comedic gem that has stood the test of time. With a relaxed atmosphere that feels like a cross-country drive at night mixed with camping out and telling stories by the fire, it's an enjoyable and lighthearted romp that is full of laughs from beginning to end. The stunts are amazing and way better than anything CGI has to offer, featuring car crashes into swimming pools and planes landing on Main Street. While some of the acting falls apart at times, Burt Reynolds and his chemistry with the rest of the cast more than make up for it.
